After [This is Sadie], creating theatre became the girls’ favorite form of play. The plays alone are not the thing; it’s also about scribbling the tickets and passing them out, and rigging a curtain out of a bedsheet and a lighting system from a flashlight. Oh, and they never fail to make a stern preshow announcement: “Turn off your cellphones!”

This is Sadie unlocks kids’ imaginations, reinforces the beauty of friendship and celebrates the power of creativity and curiosity. It’s the perfect show to introduce your little ones to live theater.

The show’s director and choreographer, Stephanie Klemons, who is associate and supervising choreographer of Hamilton on Broadway, sends Sadie (Arianne Meneses) on an imaginary voyage that unfolds to an upbeat instrumental score and includes playful sea creatures, swashbuckling pirates, marauding wolves, soaring birds and assorted characters from “Alice in Wonderland.”

Extraordinary! A fascinating portrayal of a child’s boundless imagination that engaged children and adults alike. The cast was not only credible but amazingly talented dancers!

From my 6-year old daughter: “They didn’t even say one single word, but it was fantastic!” A super show – the music, costumes, lights were all super! Thank you!

This is Sadie under the direction of Stephanie Klemons was a breath of fresh air! Artful and age appropriate, the performance was duly appreciated by the audience.

My boys, 4 and 6 years old, both were enchanted. My youngest especially, identified with the idea of having a beloved stuffed animal come to life as a companion. I watched my older son, his eyes opened wide in wonder, giggle and sit on the edge of his seat the entire time. The activities beforehand were also excellent and age appropriate.

This is Sadie is absolutely wonderful! We went to the show for my son’s 4th birthday – he loved it and was mesmerized by the incredible dancing and beautiful, imaginative costumes and set. His favorite character was the octopus! The art activities before the show and the picture opportunity with the cast afterwards made the whole experience feel extra special. The cast even sang happy birthday to my son during the photo op! Couldn’t have been a better experience.
