Appelemando’s Dreams

Season(s) Produced: 2000–2001, 2001–2002

About Appelemando's Dreams

Appelemando is an orphan and the ward of the mayor. He spends much of his time in the town square, imagining pictures that only other children can see. When they discover that Appelemando’s dreams are literally sticky when wet, they use them to pain the town, prompting a crisis that only the boy’s gifts can resolve.

“The production delights young audience members by asking them to take part in the singing that helps inspire Appelemando’s reveries.” – The New York Times
