Foster Empathetic, Creative, and Independent Thinkers of the Future
Changing Kids Lives Through Theater
Every time we enter a theater, a classroom, or a community center, we have the opportunity to teach children empathy, celebrate inclusive, diverse communities, and model strong values.
With your help, we can nurture more young people to be empathetic, creative, and independent thinkers who make a positive impact on their world.
Your gift of $100 provides two families access to one of our shows as part of our Send a Family to Theater program. The program covers the cost of tickets for disadvantaged families across the five boroughs.
Your gift of $250 provides over 60 children with one of our many interactive anti-bullying workshops. Your contribution will allow two classrooms full of young people to practice better choices in situations they will inevitably encounter.
Your gift of $500 brings five literacy- and resilience-building sessions to children in the NYC Shelter System. Even a few weeks of housing insecurity can lead to huge losses in literacy, confidence, and emotional management. Your gift offers vulnerable children the tools to build and maintain strong, capable, and independent minds despite their situation.
Emotionally Intelligent Thinkers
Your gift of $1,000 provides a free matinee performance for 100 Title I school children as part of our Send a Kid to Theater program. For many students this is their first theater experience, and your gift will introduce a new generation to the performing arts.
Your gift of $2,500 underwrites our fellowship program which aims to diversify Theater for Young Audience at the executive level. Each year, we select a candidate from an underrepresented population who is building a career in TYA.
Give What You Can
Your gift of any amount helps us move our mission forward. We welcome you to set your own amount and make a donation to help kids in the New York area experience the magic of theater, develop their emotional intelligence, improve literacy, and have fun while doing it. We can show young minds how to care for others with a reminder that we care for them.
