What You’ll Need
- Sheet of Color Paper
We chose yellow! - Paper Plate
- Pipe Cleaner
- Pencil
- Crayons
- Glue and/or Tape
- Safety Scissors
What To Do
- Cut your paper plate in half and make sure the edge is smooth.
If you do not have safety scissors, make sure a grownup helps you! - Make a spiral pattern and color in your snail’s shell any color(s) you’d like! We chose yellow, purple, and blue!
- Using the shell as your guide, trace the body of your snail. Since snails are slimy, we used curvy lines!
- Cut out your snail’s body.
If you do not have safety scissors, make sure a grownup helps you! - Cut your pipe cleaner in half, and then in half again! Curve the pipe cleaners at the very top and attach to the back of your snail.
If you do not have safety scissors, make sure a grownup helps you! - Draw two eyes and a smile on your snail!
- Using glue or tape, attach the snail’s shell to the snail’s body.
And now you have your paper plate snail!
