Creative Clubhouse KIDS

What You’ll Need

  • Sheet of Green Paper
  • Sheet of Brown Paper
  • Piece of Orange Paper
  • 2 Sheets of Any Color
  • Paper Plate
  • Pencil
  • Crayons
  • Glue and/or Tape
  • Safety Scissors

What To Do

  1. Cut your paper plate in half
If you do not have safety scissors, make sure a grownup helps you!
  2. Color your bird nest any color(s) you’d like – we chose different shades of brown and gold!
  3. On your two sheets of paper, draw one large circle with a smaller circle on top to make your birds
  4. Cut out your two birds
If you do not have safety scissors, make sure a grownup helps you!
  5. Trace two triangles on your orange sheet of paper to create your bird’s beaks
  6. Cut out your two beaks
If you do not have safety scissors, make sure a grownup helps you!
  7. Glue the beak onto each bird’s head
  8. Draw one eye above the beak for each bird
  9. Cut triangles out of the green paper, and small rectangles out of the brown paper. We cut ours freehand, but you can trace them before cutting as well.
If you do not have safety scissors, make sure a grownup helps you!
  10. Using glue, attach your leaves and twigs to the border of the plate
  11. Using glue, secure your birds to the back of your plate – we also used tape to make sure it was extra secure.

And now you have your paper plate bird nest!
