What You’ll Need
- Sheet of Black Paper
- Pipe Cleaner
- Paper Plate
- Pencil
- Crayons
- Glue and/or Tape
- Safety Scissors
What To Do
- Trace a small triangle on your paper plate.
- Cut the triangle out of your paper plate.
If you do not have safety scissors, make sure a grownup helps you! - Cut your piece of black paper in half and then measure it to cover the triangle on your plate.
If you do not have safety scissors, make sure a grownup helps you! - Attach your half sheet of black paper to the back of your paper plate.
- Trace one large circle and a bunch of little circles on your remaining piece of black paper.
- Cut out your circles.
If you do not have safety scissors, make sure a grownup helps you! - Glue your tiny circles around your paper plate.
- Cut your pipe cleaner in half and then in half again, creating two antennae.
If you do not have safety scissors, make sure a grownup helps you! - Attach your pipe cleaners to the back of your ladybug’s head using tape or glue.
- Using glue or tape, attach your ladybug’s head to the body. Using a red crayon, color in your paper plate and draw a smiley face on your ladybug.
And now you have your paper plate ladybug!
