What You’ll Need
- Colorful Sheets of Paper
- Crayons
- Colorful Pom-Poms
- Pencil
- Safety Scissors
- Double Edge Tape
- Craft Glue
This project requires cutting a few times. If you do not have safety scissors, make sure a grownup is helping you cut!
What To Do
- Trace your hand on one of your sheets of paper. We chose black, but your penguin can be any color you’d like!
- Cut out handprint
If you don’t have safety scissors, ask a grownup for help! - Draw two small circles for eyes and one large circle on one sheet of paper, and a small diamond on another. We chose white for the penguin’s body and eyes and orange for the penguin’s beak, but you can pick any colors you’d like!
- Cut out your shapes
If you don’t have safety scissors, ask a grownup for help! - Glue your circle onto the palm of your handprint. Then glue the eyes to the top of the hand. Finally, fold the diamond and glue it in the center
- With your crayon, draw two small dots in the small circles for the penguins eyes
- Glue your penguin onto a sheet of paper
- Put pieces of double edge tape or dots of glue around your paper and stick on your pom poms!
And now you have your handprint penguin!
