Here are the books and activities you can use to explore the forest with your little one(s)!

Where the Wild Things Are
Read Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak.
While reading, do your best wild thing impression by showing your terrible teeth and roaring your terrible roars!
Then, dance a wild rumpus dance to Wild Thing by the Troggs!

We’re Going on a Bear Hunt
Next, read We’re Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen.
Use your bodies to act out some adventures in the forest; swishy-swash through tall grass and tip-toe through a dark forest.
Then, go on a forest adventure of our own and sing about the new obstacles that you have to go right through.

Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do You See?
Go on an adventure around the house and find items that correspond with the colorful animals in the book! How many brown items can you find to match the brown bear?
After you finish reading the book, explore the book as a song! Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do You See? adds a fun melody to the book.
