Make a Cat Mask with Us!

This week, we're exploring the book Lily's Cat Mask. To begin our week, we're making a cat mask! Make one with us!
Creative Clubhouse KIDS

What You’ll Need

  • Paper plate
if you don’t have a paper plate, no problem! You can just cut a piece of paper into a circle!
  • Construction paper (any colors)
  • Pipe Cleaner
if you don’t have a pipe cleaner, you can use a straw, ribbon, paper or draw on your whiskers!
  • Popsicle Stick
if you don’t have a popsicle stick, you can use a straw, ruler, or a pencil!
  • Glue
  • Safety Scissors
  • Tape

What To Do

  1. Let’s make our cat’s face! Draw your cats eyes, nose, and smile – but don’t add whiskers just yet!
  2. Color your cat’s face in – you can use any color(s) you’d like!
  3. Cut out the outer ridge of your paper plate (if you’d like!)
  4. Draw two triangles on your construction paper
  5. Draw a smaller triangle inside your big triangle.
  6. Color the small triangle in.
  7. Cut out your two triangles
if you don’t have safety scissors, ask a grownup for help!
  8. Glue your ears to the back of your cat mask, so most of the triangle peeks out.
  9. Cut your pipe cleaner in half, then hold each half in half again
if you don’t have safety scissors, ask a grownup for help!
  10. Glue or tape your pipe cleaner to the front of your mask
they should look like sideway v’s like: > and <
  11. Glue your popsicle stick to the back of your cat mask, towards the bottom.
  12. Wear your mask!
