New York City Children’s Theater will host a free PRIDE Creative Clubhouse Stories class for children ages 3-8 on Thursday, June 24th at 3pm to celebrate PRIDE Month!
New York City Children’s Theater will welcome Anika Larsen and Sammy Lopez to the NYCCT family. Tony Award nominee Anika Larsen (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) has joined the company’s Board of Directors. Sammy Lopez (Be More Chill, co-producer), who directed NYCCT’s digital production, Same, Same, But Different, will join the artistic staff as the first resident director.
This year we are excited to produce a completely virtual season, with shows for children of all ages, some developed and produced specifically for digital platforms.

On Oct. 21st, 2014, Making Books Sing changed its name to New York City Children’s Theater. Since our beginnings at the Vineyard Theatre in 1996, we’ve grown as a company in every imaginable way.
